ASEASUK RESEARCH COMMITTEE FOR SOUTH-EAST ASIAN STUDIES (formerly the British Academy CSEAS)
ASEASUK Research Grants
Applications are invited to the ASEASUK Research Committee for research grants under the strategic research grant scheme for 2011-2012 (formerly known as the British Academy South East Asia Committee grants). This is the final round of the research grants scheme that accompanied the ASEASUK strategic research plan and marks the end of this particular line of support from the British Academy.
There are two deadlines: 30 September 2011 and 31 January 2012. Awards are normally in the region of £5,000 for research in or about South East Asia. The proposed research should broadly meet the criteria outlined in the ASEASUK strategic research plan (2006/7-2011/12). An application form (including terms and conditions) and a copy of the strategic research plan may be downloaded from the panel to the left of this screen. ASEASUK and British Acadamy ECAF Visiting Fellowships
Applications are invited for up to four fellowships to enable scholars to make research visits to field centres operated by the European Consortium for Asian Field Study (ECAF). Deadline for applications: 30 September 2011. Fellowships are to a maximum of £5000 to cover personal travel, accomodation and research expenses.
